58 mm (standard E61 portafilters and other commercial machines) / 53 mm (breville/ sage/ la spaziale) wood coffee distributor to evenly distribute coffee grounds in the portafilter and provide a little compression to make for an easy, level tamp. Uneven tamps will lead to channeling which ruins the taste of your espresso drinks.
This tool is height-adjustable, through the use of discs within to account for your dose/ basket depth. It also utilizes a 4 leaf design for greater efficiency in grounds distribution.
